Opuntia ficus indica
Prickly pear cactus pads 
Opuntia is recognised as one of the most nutritious and sustainable foods available, with very high Calcium and Fibre levels, perfect for Tortoises and other herbivores including Uromastyx.
 
Most tortoises are happy to eat from whole pads, however many prefer when the pad is cut into small slices or chunks!
 
These should keep for a few weeks when stored in a cool room or fridge.
 
*Please do be aware that Opuntia/Prickly pear cactus pads are a natural product and can have spines. Although these will not harm your tortoise, please take care when handling them yourselves.
